Lannon Fire Vehicles
Ambulances
Ambulance #2552
The primary
ambulance used by the Lannon Fire Department is a Med-Tech body on a 2006 Ford E450HD
chassis. The staffing on this unit at minimum includes a driver, an
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), and another EMT who has been trained in
Intra-Venous Drug Therapy (EMT-IV Tech).
Following closely behind 2552 is Lannon Rescue #2576, which generally is used for extra staffing at the scene and performs cleanup duties
Ambulance #2551
The second dispatched ambulance for emergencies in the Lannon Fire Protection district is a 1988
Lifeline Emergency Vehicles
body mounted on a Ford E-350HD chassis. The staffing is the same as 2552.
Lannon 2551 is also the primary ambulance sent out for mutual aid calls to neighboring communities as needed
Engine #2561
The
front line
fire engine used by the Lannon Fire Department has a
Marion body mounted on a 1996
Spartan chassis. A
Hale pump is installed on this engine which will flow in excess
of 1000 gallons per minute. A 1000 gallon poly tank is utilized for
an immediate water source. 1000 feet of 5 inch
LDH (large diameter hose) allows us to connect to a fire hydrant
or another engine almost a 1/4 mile away. If one of these sources is
not available, a
portable tank will be set up and the water will be retrieved via
a
drafting operation. The crew compliment consists of the
motor-pump operator, an officer, and 4 firefighters
Engine #2562
The second dispatched engine to an emergency again uses a Marion body,
this time mounted on a 1988
Mack chassis. The main difference in this unit is a smaller crew
size, consisting of only 3 firefighters. The pump and water capacities
are the same. For technical rescue and for mutual aid emergencies, this
is the first engine sent out.
Heavy Rescue #2576
Lannon
2576 is a Heavy Rescue truck dispatched to all incidents in the Lannon
Fire Protection district. It is a 2006 GMC C5500 crew-cab chassis
with a Marion Body Works box installed. The crew consists of a driver
and up to 3 other members, who may or may not be an officer depending
on the emergency. For EMS emergencies, the unit is primarily tasked
for additional staffing. In an automobile accident, this unit carries all of the
tools and extrication equipment that may be needed.
Tanker #2591
Lannon 2591 is a 3000 gallon
water tender.
Previously, this would have been referred to as a tanker. The name has
been changed due to
NIMS vehicle
typing. The chassis is a 1999 Peterbilt
and the body is a Marion Body Works unit. The role of this unit is simple-
get water to the firefighters when there is not an available hydrant.
