- Lions Daze 2008
- Sussex Loins Daze will occur this year on the weekend of July 11th through the 13th at
Sussex Village Park, located on Weaver Drive in Sussex.
Traditionally the Lannon Fire Department will help the Lannon
Lion's Club to prepare and serve food at the event. The Lions
Daze Parade this year will occur on Saturday July 11th, and will
work its way down Main Street to the park.

- Car Show & Pig Raffle
- July 27th 2008 marks the day of the Third Annual Village of
Show. This event takes place on Main Street in the downtown
portion of the village. A pancake breakfast will start the day
and after that is over you can stick around and look at all of
the classic cars that arrive representing the last 100 years of
automobile history. During the day food and refreshments will be
available. Proceeds from the concessions will benefit the Lannon
Flametamers.
- At 3:00pm, the Lannon Flametamers will pull the winning tickets for
the annual Pig Raffle. The first prize winner will receive a
full grown pig, ready for the butcher. The Second through fourth
consolation winners will each receive a full slab of bacon.
Proceeds from the Pig Raffle will benefit the Village of Lannon
parks.
- August 2008
- Fire Department Picnic
- The Lannon Fire Department Picnic will occur on August 2nd, and will be located
at the Village Park, 1/4 mile north of Main Street on Lannon
Road. This annual event brings good times and fellowship amongst
the department members and their loved ones.
- September 2008
- Dirtball Golf Tournament
- The Dirtball Golf Tournament is a bi-annual fundraising golf tournament
which is caddied by the fire departments from the Village of
Lannon and Town of Lisbon. All monies raised is split between
the two departments. The scheduling of this event has
traditionally been scheduled for the second Sunday after Labor
Day
- October 2008
- Halloween Trick or Treat
- The Village of Lannon schedules Trick-or-Treat for the last
Sunday of October. Immediately before this begins, the Lannon Fire
Department leads a parade for all of the kids and parents to join
in, from Lannon Elementary School to the Village Hall. Once the kids
arrive there, a grab bag of goodies is given to the kids to start
them off. In the past few years, the Village has also provided food
and beverage to the participants to help reduce the hunger induced
candy munching that occurs while the kids go door - to - door
